Fatigue and Insomnia
Fatigue is a signal to the body that a process or organ system of the body is being overworked or under-nourished. An example of a system being overworked is when a person is not appropriately coping with stress which results in exhaustion of the adrenal glands. Fatigue can also be the result of a nutrient deficiency. In some cases, fatigue can become chronic and be joined by other symptoms such as pain and inflammation.
Insomnia is a relatively common sleeping disorder. Like many disorders, the cause of insomnia differs between individuals. It can be caused by drug use, pain, hormone changes, psychological problems, stress, depression or other medical conditions.
Your Naturoparhic Doctor can assess for the cause of your fatigue or insomnia and combine nutrition, lifestyle counseling, botanicals, and acupuncture to effectively treat that cause.
