Do you dread the holiday season? Are you sweating just thinking about planning, preparing, cooking, and cleaning up after that huge holiday meal? Or are you bouncing off the walls trying to get that perfect gift for someone special? The holidays can be stressful, so take these 5 tips to live stress-free this holiday season.
Holiday Tip #1: SELF CARE – Don’t forget to take a break. We can get so run down this holiday season. If you have support, ask for help. If you need to take 5 minutes, take it guilt-free.
Holiday Tip #2: KEEP NUTRITION IN MIND – Sweets and treats can be abundant this time of year. Don’t forget to fuel your body with nutritious food. Make sure you always have your veggies on your plate at Christmas dinner and eat your treats mindfully.
Holiday Tip #3: DRINK WITH MODERATION – It’s not uncommon to enjoy one too many glasses of wine at your family dinner, and you can’t make it through your next holiday extravaganza with a hangover. So try to drink a glass of water per alcoholic beverage, take your B vitamins, and remember to drink mindfully and responsibly.
Holiday Tip #4: MAKE TIME FOR EXERCISE – When stress is high and time is limited, schedule a 20 minute high intensity workout to burn off some extra energy and extra calories and increase those endorphins to get you through the rest of the day. You can find some great at home plans on Google and Pinterest.
Holiday Tip #5: BREATHE AND BE MERRY – And last but certainly not least, remember to breathe. The holidays can zip by under a blink of an eye. If you’re a busy mom, I give you permission to let go of perfection and just enjoy your family this holiday season.
From all of us at Natural Choice, we wish you a happy and healthy holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in 2017.
