Naturopathic Student Externship

Are you a 4th year Naturopathic Medicine Student looking for clinical experience?

At Natural Choice Medical Clinic, we offer weekly externship positions (4 months/semester) for 4th year students.

As a Naturopathic Medical Student Extern at Natural Choice Medical Clinic, you would have access to a fully accessible clinic space situated in a beautiful century home in the heart of Downtown Guelph. With lots of natural light filled with plants, it provides you and your patients with a warm and relaxed environment. You are walking distance from shops, restaurants and cafes. Our team often pops across the street to  Sunday Blooms Cafe for what we call “Fancy coffee Fridays”. We are also a huge fan of Buon Gusto Restaurant just a 5 minute walk away and often celebrate holidays there as a team! Most importantly, enjoy a break at Goldie Mill park, just steps from our parking lot!

We provide comprehensive coverage of therapeutic modalities to fully support the patients of the clinic. With a team of 6 Naturopathic Doctors, you will have the opportunity to learn, discuss cases and shadow different styles of practices! As an ND Student Extern you will:

-See patients for initial intakes

-Make lab work recommendations

-Provide treatment plans based on your findings

-Assist with creating blood work requisitions

-Help with marketing initiative

-Other ND practice related tasks

A successful ND student extern candidate will be a motivated individual who thrives on a team environment, has excellent patient care skills and has the ability to work independently when needed.
