I believe that health is underappreciated and many people don’t value it until it starts to falter or fade. I see my role as investigating these changes and empowering my patients to make the changes their lives require to recover or maintain their health. As a naturopathic doctor, I have the ability to educate and inspire you to take charge of the things you CAN control, and to help you remove obstacles and reach your highest potential state of wellness.
I practice evidence-based medicine and treat each person as an individual, not a list of complaints. I work to address the underlying causes of your symptoms and design a treatment plan based on your specific goals. I use the tools of naturopathic medicine to help you take control of your health.
Integrative Cancer Care:
Whether you have cancer or are supporting a family member or friend, this diagnosis can be a scary journey to navigate. I am most passionate about accompanying people during their experience with cancer. I provide support as you go through this process – from diagnosis and treatment through recovery and preventing cancer recurrence. I design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that are safe, effective and sustainable to help boost your energy, reduce side effects of conventional treatments without reducing their effectiveness, manage stress and overall, improve your quality of life.
I graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and went on to study naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, where I completed a 1-year placement on the Adjunctive Cancer Care shift. Following graduation, I practiced for two years in Halifax, Nova Scotia before moving back to Ontario and settling down in the beautiful city of Guelph.
I am a registered member with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and have been qualified by the College for the additional standards of practice of therapeutic prescribing and intravenous infusion therapy. I am also a participating member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (OncANP).
