Kathryn provides non-diet, weight inclusive nutrition counselling services for individuals, groups and families to help you rewrite your relationship with food to find nourishment for the body, mind and spirit creating total lifestyle changes!
Through dietary, lifestyle, and psychological assessments, Kathryn O’Brien, Masters of Health Science in Nutrition, is able to understand the messages that our body communicates to indicate if it is out of balance and stressed. She guides her clients through recommendations that are individualized for their specific situation.
The first step in working with Kathryn involves a complimentary meet and greet – food is primarily about relationships – and this meet and greet is a great way for you to get to know each other to make sure she will be a great fit. You will talk about what you would like to achieve in your work together and learn about her approach to nutritional change.
After that you will book an initial visit, in this visit Kathryn will have reviewed how your are currently eating and will present to you your first plan for change, that takes into account both your goals and where you are starting from, so that you can make small achievable changes to get you to your goal without an overwhelming amount of unfamiliar foods.
Typically you will meet every other week for support and feedback. Kathryn is also available between appointments for ongoing support.
She is here to help you make permanent lifestyle changes in a supportive and safe space.
